This kit upgrades D7112 Control/Communicators wi.th a date code of less than X9416.  Find the expiration code on the label above the phone jack.
Along with these instructions, this kit includes the D7112 Firmware Revisions 3.30/3.31 Release Notes, A D7112 U2 PROM chip programmed with firmware revision 3.30 and a specially modified phone cord.
This kit is not for panels with expiration codes of X9416 or later.

One of the updates of this kit resolves phone line monitoring issues.
